BizKidz Terms and Conditions
Programme Aims/Mission Statement:
BizKidz is a small family based company, employing local and passionate care givers. We provide before and after school care for the children of Ohaupo School, Rukuhia School Ohakune Primary School and Paterangi School.
Fees as of 1st April 2019 (excluding GST ):
Before School Care
7.15am – 8.30am

After School Care
3.00pm – 4.00pm

Meals:
We provide breakfast at Before School Care and afternoon tea at all After School Care sessions. If there are any restrictions or allergies that we need to be aware of please make sure it is included in the enrolment form as well as letting the staff know.
Attendance:
We accept permanent and casual enrolments through Enrolmy. If you have queries, please contact Nicola on 021 795 105. Please let us know as soon as possible if you would like us to collect your child for after school care. If your child comes on a permanent basis, unless we are notified otherwise we will always collect your child. If your child isn’t at the designated meeting place after school, we will do everything possible to locate them. If we are unsuccessful in locating your child and cannot make contact with any of the parents/guardians or emergency contacts, under our policies and procedures we must contact the police to ensure your child’s safety so please let us know if any arrangements change.
Absences will be charged at full rate.
If your child is unable to attend for any reason, please let us know as soon as possible by calling or texting Nicola on 021 795 105.
Absences arranged 1 week (7 Days) prior will not incur any charges.
For casual bookings, If you make a booking, you will be charged at full rate if used or not. You may cancel with no charge if done before the 7 day notice period. We have very limited casual spaces available, and by taking a space this will inhibit others being able to book. We have a waiting list for those who need emergency care and we will let you know as soon as possible if a space becomes available. However if you know in advance that you need care please book as soon as possible as there is no guarantee with casual bookings.
Canceling by phone text or email will still be charged as an absentee.
Public holidays will not be charged for when these fall on a regular Before or After School Care day.
Teacher Only days/Strikes, we will decide whether to open on these days as they arise. These will be charged at a full day rate.
Sign-in:
When dropping your child off at before school care or collecting them from after school care, please use the tablet provided to sign them in.
Collecting your child:
If a person whose name is not on your enrolment form, arrives to collect your child, we are obliged to keep your child in care until you have been located for consent. We will then request to see the ID of the person collecting them. If there is someone that must not come in contact with your child, please state this in the indicated space on your enrolment form.
If your child leaves the centre by bus, walking or cycling home, you are required to fill in a permission slip to enable us to sign your child out on your behalf. Once they are signed out at the arranged time, we no longer take responsibility for your child.
Fees:
Invoices will be automatically emailed to you the week following care and are payable within 7 days. Payment can be made by direct credit to our bank account. Please use your child’s name and invoice number as reference – BizKidz Limited, 06-0413-0925423-00.
Late payments incur a late fee of $5 per week which will be enforced until the account is settled. If your account remains unpaid for three consecutive weeks you child will no longer be able to attend until all outstanding amounts are fully paid, or a payment plan has been agreed upon with management.
If you do not use your booking without notice you will automatically be taken of the roll after three weeks, you will still be responsible for the fees incurred.
Behaviour:
Our staff have skills and strategies to use with all different types of behaviour and needs for different children. We try hard to ensure that every person attending feels valued and that they belong. However if your child becomes disruptive, causes damage or more importantly makes any other child or teacher feel unsafe and or is injured due to unacceptable behaviour, you will be given a written warning and a plan will be put in place. If the behaviour continues we will no longer be able to offer our services and you will be asked to find alternative care.
Subsidies:
BizKidz is obtaining OSCAR approval. If you think you might qualify for a subsidy, check out www.workingforfamilies.govt.nz. If you do qualify, a WINZ form is available either online or from your nearest Work and Income branch.
Emergencies:
We always have a staff member available who has a first aid certificate. You will be notified of any accidents that occur. In the case of a serious accident involving your child, the supervisor will contact you and arrange for your child to be taken to the nearest medical facility. In a civil emergency our team will remain at the centre until all children are collected.
Policies and Procedures:
BizKidz adheres to the Ministry of Social Development recommendations and procedures and we have our own Policy and Procedure Manual. Please ask if you would like to review our manual.
Child Safety:
The programme has a detailed child protection policy, which includes the reporting of any suspected child abuse to the Department of Child, Youth and Family Services.
Sun Safety:
Hats must be worn during terms one and four when playing outside. Please send a named hat with your child. Sunscreen will be applied, with permission, (as indicated on the enrolment form) to all children when playing outside.
Confidentiality:
All of the information collected will be stored securely and will be used only for the purposes of business requirements. This includes accessibility in the event of an audit or other government related action. After the required 7 years all information will disposed of securely by shreading and or through a legitimate company.
