Welcome to Little Mozarts, where your child's development and joy will benefit from our special music programme. Arts a Go Go! pre-school music classes are different from other large community classes, as they are taught by a fully qualified music teacher.

 

 

Introduction songs and hand and finger action songs

Instruments/Rhythmic activity - based around percussion, singing/hearing and playing basic rhythms

Movement - action songs, rainbow ribbons, scarves, bubbles and more!

Listening - this may be a piece of music that relates to what was done earlier, a piece that will be listened to over several weeks, or a piece to incorporate listening and moving.

Musical Story - if time, this is a nice quiet way to end.

 

In charge of the pre-school music programme is the wonderful Joanne Roelofs. Joanne has a Bachelor of Music (composition) and Diploma of Early Childhood Music Teaching from The Institute of Registered Music Teachers. She holds Trinity College of London Grade 8 Piano. Joanne is the choral director of the Upper Hutt's Hutt Valley Singers and The Major Minors Children's Choir. Joanne also plays the trombone and has been a member of Wellington Youth Symphonic Band, Victoria University Orchestra, Victoria University Big Band, Evening Post Wellington Brass Band (now Pelorus Trust Brass Band) and Titan Hutt City Brass Band. Joanne is a singing teacher at Arohanui Strings, a Sistema based music education initiative and has a number of private singing students also. Joanne owns her own music school in Upper Hutt "Joanne Roelofs Music".

 

Parents and caregivers join in the fun with the children in the Little Mozarts class.

 

Your child is welcome to try the first class of term before committing for the term. Please still enrol so that a space is held and proceed to "checkout" to enter details. (Immediate payment is not required and an invoice with the due date and bank account is automatically emailed.)

 

Term fees are due by the third week of term. An invoice is automatically generated and emailed to you on enrolment. We do not currently accept credit card payments through Enrolmy. On the invoice is the bank account number for internet banking. Please reference with your child's name and the term you are paying for. The total fee includes GST.
