We invite you to register your child to play Year 6 Netball for Albany Primary School in Terms 2 and 3, 2025. Please carefully read all information listed below.

COMPETITION DETAILS www.netballnorthharbour.co.nz Location: Netball North Harbour, Northcote Day: Wednesday Game Times: Varies, 4:00, 4:50, 5:40, 6:30pm rounds (games commence) Season Dates: Wednesday 30 th April– 3rd July, and 24th July -20thAugust. PLEASE NOTE: The commitment is for both terms. Game Duration: 40 min (10 min quarters, 1 min break between quarters/2 min halftime)

UNIFORM Attire: School netball dress (Boys - School sports uniform, navy polo and navy sports shorts) Footwear: Sports shoes or netball shoes Jewellery: No jewellery or adornments allowed. This includes earrings which must be removed (no taping allowed).

School Sports Uniform and Netball Dresses may be purchased from our school office.

COACHES / MANAGERS / UMPIRES

All teams will be required to have a Coach and a Manager. Teams playing at NNH must also supply an Umpire. If your team does not have a Coach, Manager or an Umpire they may be withdrawn from the competition. Umpires, Coaches and Managers in the NNH Competition are required to attend the compulsory training nights.

COACH - The role of the Coach is to train their team on a weekly basis. School will provide an opportunity for court times and it is the Coach’s responsibility to ensure that their team practices on a regular basis. School will provide a team gear bag for a refundable $30 bond and it is the Coach’s responsibility to return all items in the gear bag at the end of the 2024 season. It is also the Coach’s responsibility to attend their team’s games and to provide support and guidance where necessary. The Coach will work alongside the team Manager to ensure all children are informed of their weekly game time and positions for each game.

MANAGER - The role of the Manager is to collate team information and inform parents and children each week of their game times and positions. The Manager will work alongside the team Coach and attend their team’s games. It is also the Manager’s responsibility to arrange for the collection of the Umpire fee from each team member and disburse to the Umpire.

UMPIRE - The role of the Umpire is to attend and umpire their team’s game each week. Umpires will need to attend training sessions if they have not umpired before and it is strongly encouraged that Umpires attend the umpiring courses regularly to upskill on the game of Netball. Umpires are paid a small fee per game.

Netball North Harbour provide information and training sessions for Coaches/Managers/Umpires.

FEES: $85.00 per player. PLEASE NOTE: This DOES NOT include umpire costs of $10:00 per game.

GRADING DAY: 4th March - should there be more than one team registered.

REGISTRATIONS CLOSE Wednesday 26th February at 3:00pm (or when teams are full). Please note that we have restricted numbers to 1x team (9 students), however if we have enough students on our wait list we will create further teams.
