We invite you to register your child to play Year 2 Netball for Albany Primary School in Terms 2 and 3, 2025. Please carefully read all information listed below.

COMPETITION DETAILS www.kidzplaynetball.co.nz Location: Kidzplay Netball, Pinehurst School Day: Saturday Game Times: Varies, 8:45am until early afternoon Game Duration: 20 min (10 min halves, 2 min half time) Season Dates: Over Terms 2 and 3

The 2025 Winter Season will run from 10th May to 14th June and from 19thJuly to 6th September (13 weeks). No netball on the weekend of King's Birthday (2nd June) and Matariki weekend (20th June). All games are played on Saturdays at Pinehurst School. There will not be any games on the Saturdays of the NZ Term 2 School Holidays.

PLEASE NOTE: The commitment is for both terms.

UNIFORM

Attire: School netball dress (Boys - School sports uniform, navy polo and navy sports shorts) Footwear: Sports shoes Jewellery: No jewellery or adornments allowed. This includes earrings which must be removed (no taping allowed). PLEASE NOTE: Any long sleeved tops or leggings worn for warmth must be navy blue or black only

Netball Dresses can be purchased from our school office.

PRACTICES: Team practice day, time and location are TBC by the Team Coach. GRADING DAY: Year 1 to 3 players do not take part in the grading process. FEES: $60:00 per player. PLEASE NOTE: This DOES NOT include umpire costs. Refunds are unable to be provided.

REGISTRATIONS CLOSE Friday 7th March at 3:00pm (or when teams are full). Please note that we have restricted numbers to 1x team (9 students), however if we have enough students on our wait list we will create further teams.

COACHES / MANAGERS / UMPIRES

All teams will be required to have a Coach and a Manager.

COACH - The role of the Coach is to train their team on a weekly basis. School will provide an opportunity for court times and it is the Coach’s responsibility to ensure that their team practices on a regular basis. School will provide a team gear bag for a refundable $30 bond and it is the Coach’s responsibility to return all items in the gear bag at the end of the 2025 season. It is also the Coach’s responsibility to attend their team games and to provide support and guidance where necessary. The Coach will work alongside the team Manager to ensure all children are informed of their weekly game time and positions for each game.

MANAGER - The role of the Manager is to collate team information and inform parents and children each week of their game times and positions. The Manager will work alongside the team Coach and attend their team games. It is also the Manager responsibility to arrange for the collection of the Umpire fee from each team member and disburse to the Umpire.

Kidzplay provides information and training sessions for coaches/managers/umpires.
